Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom infrastructure for the Skyfall printing system, including thermal management, industrial plumbing, and high-flow gas delivery
• Develop and integrate factory performance monitoring systems using sensors and data acquisition (DAQ)
• Oversee critical utilities including power, process water, and industrial gases (nitrogen, argon) in accordance with safety codes
• Define and implement preventive maintenance for facilities equipment such as pumps, compressors, and HVAC
• Secure availability of specialized fluid system components and high-pressure fittings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar discipline
• 2+ years of facilities, factory, or launch/ground systems engineering experience
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and fluid systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EHS practices and high-pressure gas safety (NFPA 55)
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX)
• Experience with industrial automation controls, PLCs, or building management systems (BMS)
• Background in aerospace ground support or rocket engine test site operations
• Experience managing external MEP contractors for facility buildouts
• Knowledge of ITAR or ISO 9001 standards
