Mechanical Engineer – Field Service

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues in heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, cranes, dozers, forklifts, and dumpers
• Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and breakdown repairs in both workshop and field environments
• Conduct field service calls and provide emergency breakdown support at project sites
• Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics to resolve complex faults
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime
• Supervise field service activities and technicians, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and quality standards
• Coordinate spare parts requirements and liaise with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of materials
• Prepare detailed service reports, job cards, and inspection documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment service, maintenance, or field operations
• Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and axles
• Proficiency in MS Office and service reporting systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical faults under pressure
• UAE Driving License is preferred for field-based assignments
• Experience working in the UAE or GCC region is preferred
