Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive demand, situation analysis tools, and load management tools for utility systems
• Define standards for plant utilities design, automation, construction, and operation
• Document and communicate the basis of design for all installed equipment
• Provide technical support for utility procurement and vendor selection
• Lead construction phases and collaborate with plant engineering teams on commissioning and validation
• Provide technical oversight of new line/plant mechanical and utility design
• Solve complex processing, mechanical, and utility problems to improve reliability and reduce downtime

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
• 5+ years of progressive experience in utilities design, operations, and construction
• Experience in milk, brewing/beverage, or chemical processing industries
• Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with design, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting of utilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degrees or professional certifications
• Experience as a P. Eng with an engineering design and construction firm
• Experience with process and utility modeling software such as Aspen or SuperPro
