Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical maintenance activities within the central maintenance workshop
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards
• Diagnose mechanical issues and oversee repairs of equipment and machinery
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, reports, and equipment history
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities
• Perform maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and heat exchangers
• Lead workshop operations including mechanical repairs, overhauling, and refurbishment
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance within petrochemical plant facilities
• Participate in plant shutdowns and turnaround activities
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for maintenance processes and equipment performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in petrochemical or refinery maintenance environments
• Strong hands-on experience with rotating and static equipment maintenance and repair
• Proven experience in workshop operations and shutdown/turnaround support
• Good knowledge of safety standards, maintenance procedures, and industry best practices
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and machinery diagnostics
• Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
