Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including CAD files, drawings, specifications, and procedures
• Optimize procedures and tooling for Nickel Hydrogen battery assembly to improve reliability and reduce costs
• Collaborate with vendors to improve component manufacturability and reliability
• Develop specifications and test procedures for validating new vendors and parts
• Design and conduct experiments to validate the performance of new components
• Conduct failure mode analysis to identify root causes and generate novel solutions
• Research new materials, manufacturing processes, or techniques to improve existing products

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 2+ years of experience in the design, development, and qualification of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, composites, or energy storage systems
• Proficiency in CAD and GD&T to produce production-oriented 3D models and 2D drawings
• Experience using PLM tools and workflows for engineering documentation
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and automation
• Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
