CoLab is the AI platform for driving stronger engineering decisions. We help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner by building a knowledge repository of design feedback and decisions that AI agents use to flag issues on future designs.

Responsibilities

• Bring real-world engineering expertise into CoLab’s product development process
• Work closely with Product and Design teams to improve engineering workflows inside CoLab
• Partner with customers to understand design review challenges, collaboration bottlenecks, and process gaps
• Review and validate product concepts through an engineering lens
• Help translate complex technical workflows into clear product requirements and user insights
• Support customer conversations, product demos, and feedback sessions when deep engineering context is needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve how engineering knowledge is captured and operationalized
• Stay close to emerging trends in mechanical engineering workflows, CAD collaboration, and AI-assisted engineering tools

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years experience in product development, manufacturing, industrial equipment, automotive, or aerospace
• Familiarity with CAD systems and engineering review workflows
• Experience bringing products to market and working iteratively on designs
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLM, CAD collaboration, or engineering workflow software
• Exposure to design reviews, change management, or supplier collaboration processes
• Experience working with enterprise engineering teams
• Interest in AI and the future of engineering productivity tools
