Mechanical Engineer Co-op

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer components ranging from bench-scale robotics to full-size lab automation workcells
• Work with cross-functional teams on CAD design and analysis
• Create and test engineered solutions using 3D printing and other fabrication methods
• Support assembly and build processes with guidance from senior engineers
• Take ownership of discrete project tasks end to end, from spec to delivery

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• Experience with SolidWorks CAD design (Parts and Assemblies) or similar parametric 3D CAD software
• Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Curiosity about life science or physical science automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of GD&T
• Experience designing parts for Milling, Lathing, Sheet Metal, or 3D Printing
• Previous internship/co-op experience in industrial automation, lab automation, or R&D
• Experience with robotics, industrial controls, electrical engineering, or automation software
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM
