About the role
About the Company
Charge Robotics is a Series A startup building robots that build solar farms. MIT-founded and backed by top investors like Founders Fund and Y Combinator, we are working to speed up the world’s transition to renewables by addressing labor bottlenecks in solar construction.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, testing, and iterating on mechanical systems for solar assembly
- Tracking, investigating, and resolving hardware issues with robots
- Communicating with other engineers to integrate new designs
- Working with large-scale mechanisms
Requirements
- Experience with industry-standard CAD software (Onshape)
- Ability to fabricate parts and manage external shop drawings
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work 4-5 days/week from San Leandro HQ
- Openness to 10-15% travel to solar construction sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robot arms, end effectors, and automation systems
- 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
