Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a Mechanical Resident Engineer within the plant, managing assigned projects and design-related problem-solving.
• Conduct risk assessments and address plant-related issues to ensure operational efficiency.
• Drive improvement projects for the Value Stream Organization (VSO), focusing on scrap reduction, downtime, fall-out-rate (FOR), and internal defect costs (IDC).
• Support plant and supplier-related issues, including tooling replacement and evaluating local sources for mechanical components.
• Provide technical guidance on commodity-related issues such as plastics, die-casting, and stamping.
• Lead technical cost-reduction initiatives, including component localization in North America.
• Assess the technical impact of product deviations from a mechanical perspective.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in similar engineering roles preferred.
• Proficiency in GD&T and technical drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of FMEA and DRBFM methodologies.
• Experience with Tolerance Stack analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage internal/external escalations.
