Mechanical Engineer (Automation)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret 2D/3D mechanical drawings and assembly layouts
• Perform mechanical assembly of automation machines, jigs, and fixtures
• Work on pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, FRL units, and tubing
• Ensure proper alignment, fitment, and tolerance control
• Support machine build, testing, and debugging processes
• Coordinate with electrical and design teams for smooth system integration
• Maintain quality, safety, and 5S standards on the shop floor
• Identify technical issues and suggest improvements in the assembly process

Requirements

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design
• 2–3 years of experience in an automation or machine assembly environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and GD&T basics
• Hands-on experience with assembly tools and techniques
• Knowledge of pneumatics and basic automation mechanisms
• Ability to work with jigs, fixtures, and precision assemblies
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
