Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the successful execution of custom industrial vacuum system projects from initial hand off through final delivery
• Perform CAD design work and prepare detailed components and assembly drawings using SolidWorks
• Apply fluid mechanics and thermodynamics principles for piping design and component selection
• Select appropriate system components and create Bills of Materials (BOMs) using ERP software
• Maintain project engineering schedules by monitoring progress and coordinating activities using MS Project
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and purchasing, to resolve technical issues and component shortages
• Participate in customer witness testing and analyze test data to validate system performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-2 years of experience in an industrial engineering environment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Experience with ERP systems for BOM creation and management
• Familiarity with MS Project or similar scheduling tools
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and piping design

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of vacuum systems skid design, piping, components, and fabrication
• Experience with valve and instrumentation selection
