About the role
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the engineering team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software
- Tackle complex, meaningful projects of equal importance to full-time employees
- Contribute to hardware/software components that may eventually be deployed in space
Requirements
- Four-year degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical degree (e.g., physics or applied math)
- Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch
- A strong passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required to comply with export regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software
- Experience with analytical software for stress or thermal analysis
- Experience with electromechanical system design and specification
- Experience with control system modeling and design
