About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis including stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems
  • Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Identify and implement design improvements for performance and manufacturability
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of existing systems
  • Implement safety protocols and risk assessments for robotic systems
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including user manuals and training materials

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to understand mechanical assemblies and automated equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems in an assembly environment
  • Experience with integrating new equipment
  • Knowledge of SAP PM Plant Maintenance
