Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic priorities into technical work plans, timelines, and deliverables
• Monitor progress across multiple ongoing projects to ensure milestones are achieved
• Design, research, and develop waste management products
• Prepare drawings, calculation notes, and other technical documentation
• Lead R&D by consolidating inputs from engineers, partners, and field data
• Develop structured frameworks such as evaluation matrices, CAPEX/OPEX models, and value chains
• Ensure consistency across technical documentation, proposals, and investor communications
• Maintain project archives and oversee the organization of Alterba’s knowledge base

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience in product development, R&D, or project management within climate-tech, waste management, or circular economy sectors
• Strong technical design skills including drawings, calculations, and prototype validation
• Demonstrated success in preparing technical contributions to proposals, grants, or investor materials
• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
• Fluency in English and Arabic

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in French
