Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of UAS products and subsystems
• Perform vehicle designs from initial concept to complete production-ready design
• Conduct FEA and CFD simulation analysis on aircraft and powerplants
• Design airframes and other aeromechanical parts
• Build and test prototype systems to validate designs
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering team members
• Act as an interface to customers to communicate ideas
• Manage tasks within project schedules and budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive technical engineering experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience designing machined, composite, injection molded, and sheet metal parts
• Knowledge of GD&T, ASME, and Change Control standards
• Experience with mechanical, lab, field, flight, and environmental testing
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Top Secret DoD clearance
• Experience designing mil-y electronics products
• Understanding of engineering configuration management processes
