About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CATIA V5
- Create, manage, and maintain product structures and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Design mechanical structures and chassis for internally developed equipment
- Select materials, manufacturing processes, and surface treatments to ensure compliant production
- Prepare and maintain complete manufacturing and technical documentation
- Define and develop test cases to demonstrate compliance with project requirements
- Manage requirements and ensure full traceability throughout the development lifecycle
- Interface with subcontractors for outsourced verification activities and review deliverables
- Participate in design reviews and support customer audits
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the avionics or aerospace sector
- Proficiency in CATIA V5
- Knowledge of applicable standards such as MIL-STD and DO-160
- Experience with PLM tools, such as Siemens Teamcenter
- Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes
- Understanding of thermal and vibration analyses required for compliance verification
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for technical documentation and meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FEM simulation tools (e.g., Simcenter, Nastran, ANSYS)
- Hands-on experience in structural analysis (static, modal, random vibration, and shock)
- Experience in thermal analysis (steady-state and transient) of electromechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with CFD tools (e.g., CelsiusEC, FloEFD, Flotherm)
- Knowledge of electromagnetic/magnetic analyses and multiphysics coupling
- Ability to correlate simulation results with physical test data
