About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CATIA V5
  • Create, manage, and maintain product structures and Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Design mechanical structures and chassis for internally developed equipment
  • Select materials, manufacturing processes, and surface treatments to ensure compliant production
  • Prepare and maintain complete manufacturing and technical documentation
  • Define and develop test cases to demonstrate compliance with project requirements
  • Manage requirements and ensure full traceability throughout the development lifecycle
  • Interface with subcontractors for outsourced verification activities and review deliverables
  • Participate in design reviews and support customer audits

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the avionics or aerospace sector
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5
  • Knowledge of applicable standards such as MIL-STD and DO-160
  • Experience with PLM tools, such as Siemens Teamcenter
  • Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of thermal and vibration analyses required for compliance verification
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for technical documentation and meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FEM simulation tools (e.g., Simcenter, Nastran, ANSYS)
  • Hands-on experience in structural analysis (static, modal, random vibration, and shock)
  • Experience in thermal analysis (steady-state and transient) of electromechanical assemblies
  • Familiarity with CFD tools (e.g., CelsiusEC, FloEFD, Flotherm)
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic/magnetic analyses and multiphysics coupling
  • Ability to correlate simulation results with physical test data
