Mechanical Engineer 2

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems and components
• Create and review Mechanical CAD drawings and component layout designs
• Maintain assembly drawings for enclosures, circuit boards, and cable assemblies
• Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs for prototype builds and production
• Apply DFx principles to improve manufacturability, reliability, and cost
• Support rapid prototyping including 3D printing and machined parts
• Conduct tolerance analysis and structural trade studies
• Support build, integration, and flight test activities
• Utilize military specifications for shock, vibration, and environmental requirements
• Support manufacturing through work instruction generation and technical guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3-6 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proficient knowledge of Solidworks
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design tools (AutoCAD, ProE, etc.)
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• Familiarity with engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica, etc.)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required
