About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assurance and reviews of design proposals ensuring alignment with project goals, DMRB, and relevant standards
- Lead engineering reviews to drive innovative and safe solutions for asset needs
- Challenge design and contractor proposals
- Advise on overall renewal strategies to support the CPS business
- Liaise with National Highways (SES) on technical issues and submissions
- Ensure designs comply with CPS Quality Management Processes, internal standards, and CDM Regulations
- Lead the design and technical delivery of M&E projects from concept through to construction
- Coordinate the design and sequencing of multi-disciplinary schemes within tunnel environments
- Lead innovation and continual improvement in design and construction techniques
- Lead the engineering of work packages and support scheme direction via Gateway review process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or a related field
- Proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical projects
- Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW, and British and European regulations and standards
- Membership of a professional body
- Professional qualification or actively working towards one
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
