Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance and reviews of design proposals ensuring alignment with project goals, DMRB, and relevant standards
• Lead engineering reviews to drive innovative and safe solutions for asset needs
• Challenge design and contractor proposals
• Advise on overall renewal strategies to support the CPS business
• Liaise with National Highways (SES) on technical issues and submissions
• Ensure designs comply with CPS Quality Management Processes, internal standards, and CDM Regulations
• Lead the design and technical delivery of M&E projects from concept through to construction
• Coordinate the design and sequencing of multi-disciplinary schemes within tunnel environments
• Lead innovation and continual improvement in design and construction techniques
• Lead the engineering of work packages and support scheme direction via Gateway review process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or a related field
• Proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical projects
• Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW, and British and European regulations and standards
• Membership of a professional body
• Professional qualification or actively working towards one
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
