Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components for antennas, payloads, or space electronics units
• Propose and develop concepts that meet specific customer requirements and constraints
• Integrate electrical, material, structural, and thermal engineering disciplines into 3D models
• Develop and review manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, and parts lists
• Support the integration and testing of components into higher-level assemblies
• Develop mass budgets and evaluate system costs and schedules
• Monitor component supplier activities and present concepts to customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Ability to obtain and hold security clearance (Reliability status level) and pass assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingualism in English and French
• Proficiency in CAD design software such as NX, Creo, or Catia
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing and industry drawing standards
• Previous experience within the space industry
