Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

• Design and model mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for aeronautical mechanisms
• Create 3D models using CATIA V5 and/or SolidWorks
• Produce assembly and detail drawings
• Ensure drawing production and functional dimensioning in compliance with aeronautical standards
• Participate in defining technical solutions in collaboration with design engineers
• Contribute to the optimization and improvement of existing systems
• Support manufacturing follow-up and provide technical support in the workshop if necessary

Requirements

• Bac +2 to Bac +3 degree (BTS CPI, BUT GMP, Professional License or equivalent)
• 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in aeronautics or precision mechanics
• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5 strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (kinematics, assemblies, tolerances)
• Knowledge of functional dimensioning and blueprint reading
• Rigor, precision, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of aeronautical environments and associated standards (EN9100, ISO, etc.)
• Experience with complex mechanisms (actuators, articulated systems, mechanical locks)
• Technical English proficiency
