About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design and development of heatsinks and power electronic assemblies for high-power automotive applications.
  • Generate product concepts using CATIA V5, with a focus on plastics and die-castings.
  • Drive thermal management strategies through simulation (CFD/FEA), validation testing, and optimization.
  • Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and coordinate with suppliers for extrusion, die-casting, and machining.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, hardware, supply chain, and QA to align designs with technical specifications.
  • Perform assembly analysis using basic tolerance stack-up methods and apply component joining technologies.
  • Manage New Product Development (NPD) and Proof of Concept activities.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct research on materials, competitor products, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical, Automobile, or Manufacturing/Production Engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
  • Expert proficiency in CATIA V5.
  • Experience in electromechanical product design (e.g., sensors, actuators, control modules, or DC-DC converters).
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of plastics and die-casting manufacturing processes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA, failure analysis, and the product development life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of professional publications or patents.
  • Experience with basic CAE structural simulation result interpretation.
  • Knowledge of thermal management concepts and advanced cooling solutions.
