Mechanical Design Technician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D modeling using SolidWorks to create components and sub-assemblies such as valves, piping, and chassis
• Generate 2D technical drawings and assembly plans following ISO dimensioning standards
• Maintain and optimize the internal component library and standard parts catalog
• Manage product lifecycles using EPDM for archiving, version control, and approval workflows
• Extract and verify Bills of Materials (BOM) for Purchasing and Production departments
• Support the development of new products and the modification of existing equipment for specific client needs
• Participate in design-to-cost (DTC) projects to create more compact, lightweight, or easier-to-assemble solutions

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bac +2 (BTS/DUT) degree, specifically in Industrial Product Design (CPI)
• Practical experience or training in mechanical design using SolidWorks
• Strong attention to detail and rigor, essential for working with hydrogen and cryogenic technologies
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with internal stakeholders like supply chain and project management
• Knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) tools is a plus
