Mechanical Design Intern

Responsibilities

• Focus on design areas including module enclosure, adhesives, plastic components, high current conductors, and communications harnessing
• Interface with thermal and structural analysts to inform design decisions
• Drive rapid prototyping and testing culture
• Support validation of products from concept through field deployment
• Ensure smooth transition from product maturation to mass production

Requirements

• Pursuing a mechanical engineering, engineering physics, or equivalent degree
• Strong grasp of mechanical and thermal engineering fundamentals
• Basic understanding of power electronics and electrical fundamentals
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software
• Experience building prototypes
• Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• CATIA V6 or Siemens NX experience
• Familiarity with simulation or analysis tools such as MATLAB, FEA, or CFD
