Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design solutions for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure
• Select mechanical equipment and prepare specifications, calculations, and technical drawings
• Support site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design, and tender pricing
• Coordinate with senior engineers, project managers, draughting, electrical, civil, and structural teams
• Liaise with clients and resolve technical issues through project delivery
• Produce procurement specifications and manage project documentation

Requirements

• Level 7/8/9 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics and hydraulics
• Experience with pumping systems, pipework networks, and hydraulic calculations
• Ability to work independently and coordinate design activities
• Practical site experience preferred
• Water industry or related process industry experience preferred
