About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform design studies across various phases, including feasibility, preliminary design (APS), and detailed design (APD).
- Design and model special machines and equipment in 3D using SolidWorks.
- Conduct dimensioning calculations using ANSYS.
- Produce technical documentation, including descriptive notes, plans, diagrams, and specifications.
- Manage technical interfaces with other disciplines such as process, safety, electricity, and civil engineering.
- Oversee supplier studies, including the validation of plans and notes.
- Monitor procurement, manufacturing, and factory assembly, participating in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site tests.
Requirements
- Bac+5 engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with complex equipment, handling, or lifting systems.
- Proven expertise in SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
- Experience in the nuclear sector or working with complex industrial equipment (e.g., glove boxes, waste management).
- Proficiency in technical English (written and oral).
- Strong knowledge of general mechanics and production processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ANSYS for dimensioning calculations.
- Knowledge of specific standards and codes applicable to the nuclear industry.
- Experience in team leadership and technical coordination.
