Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform design studies across various phases, including feasibility, preliminary design (APS), and detailed design (APD).
• Design and model special machines and equipment in 3D using SolidWorks.
• Conduct dimensioning calculations using ANSYS.
• Produce technical documentation, including descriptive notes, plans, diagrams, and specifications.
• Manage technical interfaces with other disciplines such as process, safety, electricity, and civil engineering.
• Oversee supplier studies, including the validation of plans and notes.
• Monitor procurement, manufacturing, and factory assembly, participating in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site tests.

Requirements

• Bac+5 engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with complex equipment, handling, or lifting systems.
• Proven expertise in SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
• Experience in the nuclear sector or working with complex industrial equipment (e.g., glove boxes, waste management).
• Proficiency in technical English (written and oral).
• Strong knowledge of general mechanics and production processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ANSYS for dimensioning calculations.
• Knowledge of specific standards and codes applicable to the nuclear industry.
• Experience in team leadership and technical coordination.
