Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute mechanical design and development of high-power energy conversion products from concept to deployment
• Perform mechanical analysis including CFD, FEA, and thermal validation
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers for seamless system integration
• Select materials and components while working with suppliers and vendors
• Act as a hands-on engineering manager accountable for project goals and timelines
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performance mechanical engineering team

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on power conversion or energy storage
• Understanding of high voltage electronics and supporting mechanical systems (insulation, thermal)
• Experience in prototyping and launch for medium-to-high volume production
• Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and analysis tools (CFD, FEA)
• Ability to manage work in a fast-paced startup environment
