Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead machinery development for assigned programs, participating in all phases of the project lifecycle as a design expert.
• Support industrial engineers with machine costing during the quotation phase and propose machine conceptions.
• Pilot new machine development or upgrades for plants across Asia, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Identify and resolve critical technical issues during the machine development phase.
• Provide technical support for productivity, quality, and process issues during mass production.
• Innovate and ensure the reliability of new mechanical conceptions and integrate know-how into company knowledge management.
• Comply with all safety regulations, participate in safety training, and report unsafe behaviors or statuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Automatism, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Mastery of mechanical and machine design principles.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as automatism.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Solidworks (preferred), INVENTOR, or AutoCAD.
• Deep understanding of metal materials (aluminum, steel, bronze, etc.), manufacturing, and treatment processes.
• Fluent English communication skills; proficiency in French is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills for interacting with internal and external interfaces.
