Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
• Use CAD and BIM software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to prepare layouts and 3D models
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with architectural and structural layouts
• Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to verify design viability and performance
• Review and revise designs based on project requirements, codes, and client feedback
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulations and industry standards
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to support project execution
• Participate in site visits to monitor installation and resolve design-related issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with a consultancy
