Mechanical Design Engineer II-Lead

Responsibilities

• Create and assess concept drawings, including P&IDs and equipment specifications, using multidisciplinary input
• Review designs, specifications, and drawings to define project and estimate scopes
• Perform technical engineering calculations, including pump and pipe sizing
• Identify, define, and resolve technical issues within the assigned scope
• Travel occasionally (less than 10%) as required by project needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering from an accredited four-year university
• 3-5+ years of experience in design engineering
• Proficiency in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes
• Skilled in engineering design principles, specifically pump and pipe sizing calculations
• Familiarity with creating P&ID, PFD, and general arrangement drawings
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills
