Mechanical Design Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Implement mechanical designs using template-based approaches and industry standards
• Develop product-level automations and design guide files
• Perform CAD customization using NXOpen, UFUNC, C#, C++, or Python
• Create solid, surface, and sheet metal CAD files in NX, Creo, or SolidWorks
• Produce detailed engineering drawings and manage parametrization modeling
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, machining, casting, and sheet metal
• Utilize analysis tools such as ANSYS and NASTRAN for stress analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-4 years of professional experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency in NX and CREO software
• Hands-on experience with CAD customization via NXOpen or UFUNC
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tool design
• Experience with linear and non-linear stress analysis using ANSYS or NASTRAN

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python and an understanding of AI/ML applications
• Knowledge of Teamcenter and its integration with Siemens NX
• Experience developing Teamcenter customizations using SOA calls
• Proficiency in SQL/Oracle Database handling
• Experience with Knowledge Fusion or Checkmate
