Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and implement innovative and cost-effective product solutions from prototype through full-scale production
• Create custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures using CNC milling, turning, and additive manufacturing processes
• Create and release detailed engineering drawings and interface with machine shops for quoting and completion
• Manage sourcing and deliveries from suppliers for the fabrication of tools, fixtures, and equipment
• Support design improvements to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs
• Perform tolerance analysis and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor
• Manage multiple customer accounts through effective project management

Requirements

• 5+ years of 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo, or NX preferred)
• Proven experience in drawing creation and release
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively
• Experience with project management across multiple accounts

Preferred Qualifications

• CSWP certification
• Experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with manual or CNC milling and lathe operations
• Introductory understanding of GD&T and dimensional management
• Proficiency in Fusion 360
