About the role
Responsibilities
- Designing for weight, volume, thermal performance, and IP sealing while ensuring serviceability and manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
- Performing conceptual designs, theoretical calculations, and tolerance stack analyses
- Developing and executing test plans to validate subsystems and full product performance
- Conducting root cause analyses (RCAs) for issues during testing and field deployment
- Collaborating with manufacturers, assembly teams, and mold designers to refine designs
- Documenting the product development cycle from concept to production stabilization
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in mechanical design
- Expertise in structural design, thermal systems, and electro-mechanical packaging
- Strong understanding of fluid systems, heat transfer, and refrigeration basics
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and IP sealing
- Solid knowledge of materials including metals, plastics, composites, and elastomers
- Proven experience taking a product from concept to production
