Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Plan and execute feasibility studies and structured experiments, including data collection and reconciliation of predicted versus actual performance.
• Direct support personnel in detailed design, prototype fabrication, installation, debugging, and testing activities.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance for equipment maintenance, root-cause investigations, and bid responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of progressive mechanical design engineering experience, including hands-on system development and manufacturing support.
• Demonstrated expertise in mechanical system design, analysis, prototyping, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and mechanical testing methods.
• Strong capability in experiment design and data interpretation.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Person status is required due to defense contracting requirements.
