Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop layouts and schemes for mechanical assemblies and parts
• Take ownership of projects, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Lead Mechanical Designer
• Provide complete information for production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality requirements
• Support the design group to meet overall performance and delivery targets
• Provide guidance and support to Graduate Mechanical Designers to ensure best design practice

Requirements

• Previous experience in Formula 1 or Top-Tier motorsport
• Proven experience designing chassis, suspensions, brake ducts, and hydraulics within motorsport
• Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, materials, and analysis
• Strong IT skills including MS Office
• Ability to prioritize in a time-pressured environment
