Mechanical Design Engineer - Bogie Architect

Responsibilities

• Define bogie architecture and sub-assemblies, including volumes and technical characteristics
• Design and analyze mechanical solutions for bogie components
• Establish and maintain digital models (3D CAD) and bills of materials (BOM)
• Manage technical documentation, including mass balances and displacement studies
• Supervise bogie assembly and integration under the vehicle
• Coordinate with local and international teams to ensure quality, cost, and deadline (QCD) compliance
• Participate in R&D and tender stages by conducting feasibility studies

Requirements

• Engineering degree in mechanics or equivalent with 5+ years of mechanical design experience (or 10+ years with a technical degree)
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, drafting, and functional dimensioning
• Strong understanding of strength of materials (SoM)
• Knowledge of manufacturing optimization (welding, machining, casting, or forging)
• Fluency in English (written and oral)
• Proven leadership, autonomy, and ability to meet strict deadlines
