Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop complete technical specifications for rolling stock renovation and overhaul projects
• Create 3D models, design annotations, BOMs, and 2D drawings following QCD processes
• Perform part dimensioning and verify drawings and specifications
• Prepare and document internal and external mechanical design reviews
• Design products considering performance, maintainability, and testability requirements
• Report on mechanical activity progress and alert management of potential QCD impacts
• Conduct engineering studies and prepare technical specifications for internal and external presentation
• Maintain issue lists for assigned work packages and track resolution status
• Provide technical support to production teams and customers
• Verify design quality from suppliers and subcontractors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience or 2 years in railway/rolling stock
• Knowledge of metallic materials and industrial processes (welding, bending, machining)
• Proficiency in Catia v5 (3+ years or 5000+ hours)
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM (Enovia-DMA, 3DCom)
• Member of the OIQ
• Fluent in French and English
