About the role

Responsibilities

  • Integrate mechanical subsystems and ensure progressive maturity of allocated volumes
  • Perform 3D/2D design of make parts, including assembly drawings
  • Manage CAD deliverables and ensure compliance of bought parts with defined volumes
  • Validate first mountings, identify issues, and propose technical solutions
  • Analyze waiver requests and provide feedback on Non-Conformity Requests (NCRs)
  • Create and maintain Space Allocation Mock-ups (SAM)
  • Support technical discussions with suppliers to converge on technical definitions
  • Support process continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in heavy industry
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, drawing creation, and mechanical design principles
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 or similar CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze technical requests
  • Effective English communication skills for technical writing and meetings
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PLM tools such as Enovia
  • Familiarity with space allocation processes and mechanical subsystem integration
  • Understanding of manufacturability and maintainability constraints in heavy industry
