About the role

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate Epiroc equipment and components according to established technical standards and procedures
  • Execute mechanical repairs ensuring high quality, efficiency, and adherence to scheduled timelines
  • Perform quality control on all repairs to identify deviations, failure causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare technical reports regarding evaluations, repairs, testing, and work results
  • Participate in field service projects, including assembly, commissioning, and initial startup of equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment reliability and performance
  • Comply with all safety, occupational health, environmental, and legal regulations

Requirements

  • Technical degree in Automotive Mechanics, Maintenance Mechanics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy machinery, ideally in mining environments
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, compressors, and rotation heads
  • Proficiency in metrology, dimensional analysis, and the use of precision measuring instruments
  • Experience using CMMS or ERP software for maintenance tracking and control
  • Intermediate English language skills
  • Valid driver's license (Category A1 or higher)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with Epiroc or Atlas Copco equipment
  • Certifications in non-destructive testing (NDT), failure analysis, or quality control
  • Advanced knowledge of mechatronic maintenance applied to heavy mining machinery
