Mechanical Commissioning Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled execution of planned, reactive, and corrective mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
• Deliver effective problem solving and fault diagnosis to ensure equipment reliability across the plant.
• Undertake plant modification work to enhance safety and improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct inspections, testing, adjustments, and monitoring tasks to maintain high-integrity production equipment.
• Support the commissioning of primary and auxiliary production equipment and utility support systems for the 3CR project.

Requirements

• Recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (BTEC ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
• City & Guilds Electrical Installation Parts 1 & 2.
• IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition (BS7671).
• Ability to work a 12.5-hour day shift pattern, including weekends on a 5-on/4-off rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a maintenance function in a large-scale manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Experience working with Profibus networking.
