Mechanical Commissioning Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily mechanical commissioning activities and supervise construction craft
• Ensure all safety procedures are strictly followed and promote a culture of safety leadership
• Perform initial equipment and pump check-outs, including vibration analysis and alignment verification
• Execute system line flushes and oversee subcontractor activities such as oil flushes, steam blows, and chemical cleaning
• Review engineering system descriptions for functionality and develop required commissioning procedures
• Coordinate and record equipment initial run data and verify all system check-outs
• Develop action plans to address and elevate technical issues to the Mechanical Lead in a timely manner

Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical technology or equivalent job-related experience
• 10 years of mechanical commissioning experience specifically within the power industry
• Proven experience in flushing and cleaning mechanical piping systems
• Expertise in the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of industrial processes
• Strong knowledge of electrical principles, controls methods, and practices
• Ability to supervise, train, and schedule teams to achieve commissioning goals
