About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily mechanical commissioning activities and supervise construction craft
- Ensure all safety procedures are strictly followed and promote a culture of safety leadership
- Perform initial equipment and pump check-outs, including vibration analysis and alignment verification
- Execute system line flushes and oversee subcontractor activities such as oil flushes, steam blows, and chemical cleaning
- Review engineering system descriptions for functionality and develop required commissioning procedures
- Coordinate and record equipment initial run data and verify all system check-outs
- Develop action plans to address and elevate technical issues to the Mechanical Lead in a timely manner
Requirements
- Associate degree in mechanical technology or equivalent job-related experience
- 10 years of mechanical commissioning experience specifically within the power industry
- Proven experience in flushing and cleaning mechanical piping systems
- Expertise in the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of industrial processes
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, controls methods, and practices
- Ability to supervise, train, and schedule teams to achieve commissioning goals
