Mechanical Commissioning Lead

Responsibilities

• Verify that plant equipment complies with project contracts, design feasibility, and supplier requirements through startup and testing
• Assist in the development of startup packages, procedures, and detailed startup schedules
• Manage construction completion, turnover to startup, and final turnover to the client
• Act as the primary point-of-contact for all system functions through plant startup and operation
• Perform thorough system walk-downs and reviews to establish completion status and identify outstanding items
• Ensure systems are installed per design and record as-built engineering changes on drawings
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards throughout the commissioning process

Requirements

• Knowledge of power plant technical principles
• OSHA 10 Hour Training certification
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a construction site environment, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working in varying temperature extremes
• Ability to perform physical labor for up to 12-hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Engineering degree
• 3+ years of relevant startup experience
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and multi-tasking skills
• Proficiency with internal engineering systems and tools
