Mechanical Calculation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Dimension new seat structures to pass regulatory dynamic and static mechanical tests
• Propose innovative technical concepts and mass optimization strategies
• Ensure compliance with all normative criteria in product design
• Organize simulation reviews and present results to management and Product departments
• Simulate and dimension product features to achieve at least 30% mass and cost reduction
• Combine finite element analysis (FEA) and analytical calculations to justify technical choices
• Write test plans and analyze physical test results against simulations
• Participate in technical documentation for product certification and qualification

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design or structural analysis
• Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and numerical simulation
• Proficiency in FEA software (Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, etc.) and analytical calculation tools
• Advanced proficiency in French and English
• Ability to obtain defense security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with composite materials
• Experience in the aerospace sector
• Project management skills
