Mechanical BIM Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update BIM models for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
• Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM execution plans and company standards
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks, Revit, or BIM 360
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical trades to resolve design conflicts
• Provide training and support to junior BIM modelers and engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Technology
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical BIM coordination
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Experience in clash detection and coordination
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASHRAE and NFPA
• Ability to use Plant 3D and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dynamo, scripting, or automation in BIM workflows
• Familiarity with fabrication modelling and detailing
• Knowledge of COBie, IFC, and other BIM interoperability standards
• Autodesk Certified Professional in BIM or Revit
