Mechanical Associate IV

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet CarMax’s standards for safety and performance
• Collaborate with a skilled team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Gain hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, expanding mechanical expertise
• Deliver exceptional service by ensuring every vehicle meets reliability standards
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area

Requirements

• Proven experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, and brakes
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance in an automotive setting
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license required
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by State/Local law (e.g., A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, or A8)
