Mechanical Assembler

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors, housings, and piping assemblies using hand and power tools based on 2D assembly drawings
• Balance rotors of various sizes using overhead cranes and specialized balancing equipment
• Build and mount component parts such as agglomerate catchers and pellet diverter valves
• Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings using air and soap water
• Engrave equipment nameplates using engravers, laser markers, or dot peen markers
• Complete quality check sheets during the assembly process to ensure product standards are met
• Maintain a safe work environment by following accident prevention and occupational safety protocols

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Mechanical background with a general understanding of tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in a factory environment, including potential overtime and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in assembly shops or manufacturing locations
• Experience in automotive repair or maintenance
