Mechanical Assembler

Responsibilities

• Champion a "Safety First" culture by maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings to guide work assignments
• Align and assemble components made from sheet metal, structural steel, and cable tray
• Drill and tap various electrical equipment including LV/MV MCCs, switchgear, and UPS systems
• Operate lifting devices such as toe jacks, overhead cranes, and forklifts
• Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and replace defective components
• Assemble prototype units and support the development of new assembly methods

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in electrical equipment manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings
• Proficiency with handheld tools and lifting equipment
• Strong attention to detail regarding quality, fit, and finish
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
