Mechanic Service Person

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
• Build production benches, set up feed rails, airlines, and leadtec terminals
• Assist mechanics with sewing machine setup, including extension tables and electric power boxes
• Move machinery according to new floor layouts and assist with moving WIP or downfill materials
• Respond to production maintenance requests from supervisors and plant management in a timely manner
• Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas in compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain adequate parts, supplies, and equipment for production and maintenance departments

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of sewing equipment
• High School diploma or GED
• Proficiency with power tools
• Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Fire Code
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work proactively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Building trades’ certificate or equivalent
