About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
- Set up sewing machines, production benches, feed rails, and leadtec terminals
- Respond to production maintenance requests from supervisors and plant management
- Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
- Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools
- Maintain adequate parts, supplies, and equipment for production and maintenance departments
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of sewing equipment
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficiency with power tools
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Fire Code
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Building trades’ certificate or equivalent
