About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled repair and maintenance on complex building systems, including plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
- Respond immediately to maintenance assignments and emergency work orders to ensure building safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct periodic inspections of rooms and common areas to identify and report maintenance needs.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate records of daily assignments.
- Calculate material quantities, requisition supplies, and assist in evaluating new equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in a trade or technical discipline (or completion of an approved training program).
- Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance and at least two of the following: Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry.
- Must possess all applicable professional licenses and permits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and schematics.
- Physical ability to work on ladders and scaffolding, work indoors and outdoors, and lift up to 50 lbs.
