Mechanic Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain filling equipment to ensure product quality and productivity
• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment abnormalities
• Perform preventative maintenance following predictive maintenance methodologies
• Execute equipment changeovers to minimize downtime and maintain set-up specifications
• Make minor machine adjustments and document all work performed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following Lean 5S and GMP guidelines
• Complete required production documentation, such as Hourly Observation Reports
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality assurance protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Two years of mechanical training or previous experience in a packaging/production environment
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and controls aspects of production equipment
• Experience working with electric conduits of various voltages
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance
• Ability to work 10+ hour shifts involving standing, bending, and reaching
• Flexibility to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends in a non-climate-controlled environment
